Welcome to Portfolio class.  This sylabus will lay out the expectations for a successful year in our class.

We will be painting a limited Zorn color palette in preparation for our acrylic portrait painting project.

Draw a skull using charcoal and white conte.  Complete the Ecorche study of the anatomy using conte:sangunie, ivory and white.  Label all.

Review the collection of portraits, self portraits and "selfies" to begin pin pointing the style you will use to create your portrait or self portrait.

Using the required mediums on toned paper you will show: shadow, half tone, broad range shadow, light and highlights.

Review the steps to drawing a face.  Practice following the steps to create a realistic drawing.
